Open on Sundays

The city hall in my city is open on Sundays of the end (beginning) of
this (next) FY, and we can transfer the inhabitant's ledger
(Jyumin-daityou), and/or the proof of tax payment can be gotten.

The services of city/town halls seem to be convenient these days. On
the web sites I could find the notices that many city/town halls in
Japan provide the same services. When I came here about 9 years ago,
I had to take a half-day holiday to do it. How convenient it becomes!

Concerning the procedures of public offices, I remembered that the
driving license has been changed to the IC card type one in some
districts in Japan... I found that the area is Tokyo, Saitama,
Ibaraki, Shimane, and Hyogo which includes my address... My present
driving ID will become invalid in some months from now, so probably
the additional 450 yen for the new-type license card will be necessary
on next conversion... (-_-;;;
