Whirling Butterflies
This is 'Hakutyou-sou' or Whirling butterflies. The other Japanese name is 'Yamamomo-sou', and the other English names are Beeblossom, Clock weed, White gaura, etc. The botanical name is Gaura lindheimeri.
A part of the Japanese name 'Hakutyou' means white butterfly. However, we usurally imagine white birds when we hear 'Hakutyou', because the pronounciation of both Japanese words are exactly the same!
