This is 'Kinmokusei' or fragrant orange-colored olive. The other English names are sweet olive, fragrant tea olive, and so on. The botanical name is Osmanthus fragrans v. aurantiacus.

Hi. I was searching for the name of this sweet fragrant plant that to me, marks the start of autumn in japan. Thank you! It's a pity that it can only be found in the far east. Its fragrance though short-lived is really arousing and comforting.
