"Kamogawa Holmoo" by MAKIME Manabu
This is the first time for me to read the book by Mr. Makime, who is a young new writer in Japan. The hero of this story, who is a new student of Kyoto university, drew a cow carriage for a part-time job during the Aoi-Matsuri, which is one of three largest festivals in Kyoto city. After that he was invited to a party, which was the beginning of a historical strange horrible matches called 'Holmoo'...

You keep a very organized blog. This is impressive! From your tag, I was able to find you on a search for Makime Manabu. Do you know if any of his works have been translated to English? I can't read a lick of Japanese, but I enjoy to read new Japanese novelists. Send me an e-mail sometime if you like. -Hayden

It is difficult to write in English for me, and maybe the sentences are strange. But I'm glad to hear that even such page could help someone like you (^_^)
And Makime Manabu published three books as far as I know, and unfortunately I think there is no translated ones... Recently many books by foreign writers are translated into Japanese, but I'm afraid very few Japanese books are translated into English. I'd like to help you read Japanese novels, but what should I do???
