Japanese star jasmine
This is 'Teika-kazura' or Japanese star jasmine. The other Japanese name is 'Masaki-no-kazura'. The botanical name is Trachelospermum asiaticum.
The Japanese name 'Teika-kazura' comes from the personal name FUJIWARA Teika (1162 -1241), who was a noble in the Kamakura period. He wrote 'Shin-Kokinwakasyu' and also selected 'Ogura-Hyakunin-Issyu' which is a famous set of playing cards in Japan.
