Pokeweed

This is 'Yousyu-Yamagobou' or Pokeweed. The other Japanese name is 'America-Yamagobou'. The botanical name is Phytolacca americana.







The root of this plant contains poison, so you must not eat it! Someone says that 'The root of Yousyu-Yamagobou' is sold. However, that is not the real root of this plant but the root of 'Azami'. Please be careful!!!
